  • We advise you check your Protection Plan Agreement document to make sure your problem is covered.
  • If you need an engineer, but the repair is not covered by your Protection Plan Agreement then you may be liable for extra costs. Your engineer should inform you where possible if you have incurred extra costs before carrying out any work. You should always double-check the small print of your agreement document to check for any exclusions before you have repair work done on your Home Systems.

Our Appliance Protection, sometimes known as White Goods, cover's you for partial or full, mechanical and electrical breakdown. If your appliance should breakdown, arrange an engineer to repair the appliance. If this is non-repairable, we will replace the faulty appliance with a like for like replacement up to £300.

Appliance Cover is optional cover that’s there to give you peace of mind and financial assistance when your kitchen appliance or flat screen TV breaks down. When you consider the potential cost of paying out for household appliance emergencies, Drain Protection UK's cover could save you a huge unattainable engineer bill or Appliance replacement.

There is a £500 limit to the engineer call out per Appliance/ per Claim. This includes time spend on repairs and parts

American style Fridge Freezers are not currently covered in our plans

When appliance is not behaving properly, or it stops working give us a call. Sometimes waiting can make the problem worse and can lead to further problems.

Appliances often overheat if it not cleaned regularly. The internal ducts turn into a hotbox which sends the hot air back to the drum.

You should unplug you appliance and not use it untill an engineer visits.

- Make sure your appliance is plugged in, that it is turned on - Check for loose connections
- Try another outlet
- Turn the appliance on & off or reset machine

Check for a broken door lid or gasket for leaks or damage. If the frost is specific to one area, that is likely where the gasket leak is.

The problem could be a break in the airtight seal between the door and freezer cabinet that keeps the air inside cold.

A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes. This happens when food particles or other debris clog up the drain hose, which can lead to ice build-up and can lead to water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.

If your oven won't heat at all, it could be a blown fuse or a burnt-out element.
If the Oven doesn’t turn on at all - check your circuit breaker box and reset the breaker if necessary and see if this fixes the problem.

A dirty or damaged or missing filter can be the cause. We can easily replace with a brand new part that simply slots or clips into place.

Your appliance may have a clogged drain hose or the pump may be broken. A broken lid switch or belt could also be the culprit.
The drain hose loops to the top of the machine, and then down to the drain, enabling the tub to fill. When the water reaches the bend in the hose, it goes out of the drain.
